Hello Community!

I just unboxed my first (and definetly not my last!) Spyderco.

It's a Spyderco Tenacious with a plain edge in black! wonderful knife.
Now i wonder, could you point me into a direction for cool mods or personalizations?

Thanks in advance!

Yep, but I think polished bevels on a black blade is even more awesome. :)

Yeh, but you need to start with something coarser like 200, then move on to 400 and make sure that all 200 grit scratches are gone before moving on to the next grit, which a good rule of thumb is double the last one. Ex, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3000.

You have to take care not to scratch the black blade. I suggest practicing on a cheapo or old knife before touching your Ten.

Welcome!

The important question would be what kind of mod do you need/want? What aspect you might want it improved?

Polishing bevel is not only beautiful, but also making it cut better! Having a black blade limits your blade modding choice ;)

Handle: do you like it as it is? What improvemwnt you want?

What you should do is practice on your tenacious so when you get your Paramilitary 2 x 4, Manix, Native, Military, Endura, Delica, Salt, Caly 3, Sage you will be ready to go. JK....Welcome to the forums. Spydercos are a sickness....you have been warned. :D

i like what this guy did:
dillon_b12 wrote:After carrying my Tenacious for a few months, I decided to make some changes.

I haven't been able to enjoy the mod yet since the blade was way off-center when I got everything put back together so I tightened it up quite a bit hoping I could back it off and things would straighten up. Unfortunately, I stripped the pivot screw. Got a new pivot screw and a few handle screws from Spyderco just haven't had a chance to get the stripped one out.

I have thought up a theme for the knife. i want to design it in a "Zombie-Killer" athmosphere, maybe with a symbol etched into the G-10, some fluorescent green paintings on the G-10, maybe a wave-mod and a polished bevel. ideas?

this looks quite amazing. if i cut the scales up like this, filled them with a really toxic green and somehow etched a biohazard-symbol into the blase it'd look fabulous!

how do i etch symbols into blades? :l
