Who loves the Lum Chinese?

Forgive me for being redundant but who loves their Bob Lum Chinese folder? What configuration do you have? I have a plain edged blue folder and I love it!

Well, I couldn't tell you about the Lum... But I'm practicing my Chinese right now and I hate it.

Who knew this would be so hard?

Green PE and I really like the flat bevel blade. It cuts like a dream and it comes close to outcutting my Calpyso PE. I like color handles better than black.

I'm not too sure that I'd like G10 scales. I think that rigidity may be compromised as well as strength especially on a knife this thin. I think what would be REALLY SUPER DUPER AWESOME would be to make a titanium integral Lum Chinese OR make a Lum Chinese with around a 2.4 in blade to make it Chicago/Boston legal. I think that a mini Lum would be about the coolest little knife out there!

It would be fair to say that I love my Chinese Folders. I have a blue and a green, both PE.

I love my blue lum, it is lonely so I think I will be getting the green one to keep it company about christmas time. This is one sweet knife. I am going to have my green one coated on the blade and liner and maybe the clip with boron carbide. bwhahaha

Blue in PE. If there were no other spydies left to accuire, I would get the green as well. Seeing as there are so many spyides left ot grab with so little cash, the green will hafta wait.

I love both my PE (Blue and Green) Lums. Took a little practice on how to hold one securely, but now I am absolutely comfortable with them.
Ummm.... dropped the green one when pulling out of my pocket a couple weeks ago, now have a small ding on the edge of the scales near the top of the tang. Anyone know a safe way of smoothing it out?

I also adore the Lum Chinese design, mine is a blue one in PE. It is an elegant knife to the extreme and a fabulous cutter.

Honestly, I haven't cut much with mine so far...as most of the time I'm carrying it I spent a great deal of the time simply admiring it; whilst manipulating the action at a frenzied pace.

I've got a set of the green Lum's - 104 and 104V as well as my EDC Blue PE. I just love the flat grind on that wide VG-10 blade!
What I'd love to see (and I'm suprised that no one has mentioned) is a CF Lum Chinese.
Maybe Sal would consider it after the CF Police run is completed.

vox - Glad you like the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> mantra <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I noticed your use (and attribution) in an earlier post. If we all take up the mantra and it catches on, who knows what could happen? Today <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> land, tomorrow the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> world.

I nearly didn't get a Chinese folder because I was a bit leary of the green handle, but after I recieved my GM blue one I realised what a fool I had been.

If ever I lost my blue one and couldn't get hold of another one, I wouldn't have a second thought in getting a green one.
