dear my friends

im thinking to acquire new spyderco now. Since im off to beach camping very soon, i decided to get H1 blade, i found a good price on ebay selling spyderco tasman salt for 50 dollar. Here, in europe, it costs you like 80 euro!! i hate price in europe,,so i really want to buy online. My concern is n also my question to u guys....i live in holland,,

do u guys think, it will be any problem for importing knives here?

if i buy it online on ebay, will the knive be delivered to my front door or should i take it at the custom office and pay another euro for taking it??

i have no idea about custom regulation kind of stuff. any clues from you will be so much helpful for me

You should ask on some Dutch forum... In Italy, for example, the postman brings you a sheet to fill, nothing complicated, and I choose whether to receive, at home or go and get it at the custom paying 20/30% of taxes.
Only once, a retailer on ebay, sent the knife by ordinary mail: I couldn't track it, and is reached after nearly two months!!! but I paid no customs. I saved a lot but I think it's not so legal...

Usually, Dutch customs charge import duties and VAT (BTW) on any purchase coming in, on the complete price including the cost of shipping. In my experience, that is still cheaper than buying it in many Dutch brick and mortar stores. I've had good luck with German online dealers, their prices were fair and since they are in the EU - no added duties by customs. I have also heard good things about a few British online shops. The knifeknuts at messenforum.nl can surely put you in the right direction.

may u tell me the German online dealers site n also the british online site? i agree with u,,still cheaper getting it online rather than from shop...i just got my para 2 for 150 Euro here in holland! @_@
