The clip is different and no compression lock, but it took me a while to see that this was their production piece and not a real Spyderco in the picture.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

Had I known I could have gotten a Chris Reeve for $54 from that site I would have saved some cash from Christmas. I also see you can get the fake Spin's off that page for $5.99.

At least, unlike a couple of others, the PM2 clone is fairly easy to spot as a fake. Doesn't make it any less criminal, but would you really expect honest merchandise from a site named in homage to a thief?

Yup. It is not the monetary loss from Spyderco loosing that sale to a Chinese knock-off (if that person is not willing to pay for a real Spyderco, it is not really a lost sale anyway).BAL wrote:The worst part of all of these fakes isthat there are people that actually believe that
they are real and then Spyderco gets a bad reputation because the knives are POS.
The real damage comes from the unfair, bad reputation that Spyderco will get when the knife does not work "good enough", or when it fails, and then it will not be the Chinese knock-off factory that is going to get blamed - it will be the "real" Spyderco who will get blamed. That bad publicity is much worst than the monetary loss, since negative perception is far worst, as word of mouth travels much faster for "negative" feedback than for positive feedback. Of course the folks who hear the negative feedback will most likely never know that it was not even a real Spyderco, but the damage will be done anyway.

****! All the knives seem to ripoffs of some brand, not only Spyderco, but CRK, Microtech, Benchmade, Buck, Strider and even Boker and Bear Grylls are copied  They even copy inexpensive knive what the heck.
Even when I saw the Al Mar Tanto Sigare knife is being copied.

I love the description of the "Fake Para2" on this site - which was titled "spyderco Folding knife For American paratroopers knife Outdoor Tools VG-10":
Application: Camping Knife
Handle Material: Plastic
Brand Name: spyderco
Type: Pocket Knife
Blade Material: Titanium
Net weight: 145g
Wow! A plastic-handled, titanium bladed Para1! Must be a sprint!
