Hey Kohbanang,
I think all who submitted to the contest will receive a calender.
Your location is probably the issue with you not getting yours yet.
I've had mine about two weeks.
Later,
Don

Previous years I received a calendar for submitting an entry, though for some reason I didn't receive one this year. Not a huge deal, I can still see the pictures folks submitted in the calendar thread. I assume there may have been some mixup in the processing, since some of the pictures in the calendar got mis-labeled as to who submitted them. I didn't want to make a huge issue of it, I do appreciate Spyderco offering the calendar contest each year.

In past years they sent out a PM requesting an address. If you didn't get that PM, you might try contacting someone.

I submitted last year and this year, but never expected a free calendar unless my submission was accepted for the calendar. I don't ever recall them asking for mailing info so how would they send us one?

I'm pretty sure just winners chosen for the calendar get a free one. Everyone else can buy one...

The first two years, they gave everyone who entered one. Maybe that's changed this year?

I received one last year just for entering a photo and was asked for my mailing address this year also but haven't received a calendar.

I entered a pic and was not chosen for a month, but received my calendar just for entering. Received it about 2 weeks ago.

I've entered once before last year or the first but never received anything. Never expected to because my pic wasn't chosen.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

I really don't think they were handing out free calendars just for submissions...think about that for a second. Everyone who even remotely wanted a calendar could just submit any old random knife pic and get it for free. What would be the point of them trying to sell a calendar if they just gave it away to everyone? Then they'd be giving away free knives for the main prize and then giving away calendars to everyone else, and ultimately losing money and knives for nothing.

Did you miss the 4 people posting before you that said they submitted, didn't win, and got a calendar?

Hmm. I submitted a photo and never got a calendar. Never expected one since I didn't win, and I've actually never heard about this until now. Would be nice to have the calendar, but if not, well that's what I expected.

I submitted an image, and was PM'd by a Spyderco member after the competition closed thanking me for the (unsuccessful) entry and asking for my mailing address. I have a spyderco calendar pinned to my wall that disagrees with your theory. :D

I would of thought that the time and effort to take a nice photo and submit it for Spyderco's free use and distribution would count for something? I do not think the primary motivation for the calendar is profit either. I did not expect a freebie but I appreciate the gesture.

It was my first time entering, I made sure my photo was eligible, and followed the instructions when I was contacted after the competition.

Someone official will need to confirm, there could be many reasons

So Spyderco hand selected some runners up? Like I said what's the point of making a calendar just to give them all away for free? I noticed the 4 people saying they got free ones but also noticed the rest of us who outnumber them who didn't. If it were a clerical error I would think the majority would side with those who did get them and only a few being missed. If scores of people came in saying they DID get one then maybe I'd feel left out.

If you submitted a photo to the Calendar Contest (even if it wasn't a winner) you should have received calendar compliments of Spyderco. All entrees were PM-ed when the contest closed and calendars were mailed US post. If you submitted a photo and didn't receive a calendar please email me your postal, mailing address, directly to jlaituri@spyderco.com

For anyone who didn't participate in the contest and would like a calendar, or if you received one and would like another one, they are available through SFO.
