Big spyderco fan, new to forums

#1

Post by Dustinm »

Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at any forum so here goes. I've been a fan of spydercos for a couple years now and lately I've been getting into higher end knives. I started with a delica and now I have about 15 spydercos ranging from a ukpk up to a temperance 2. It's getting to be a bit of an addiction. Lately I've been buying one every couple weeks. Oh well, it's only money.

Run, Forrest, RUN! This forum will cost you money! I started with a Caly 3 CF. Next thing ya know, I picked up about 50 Spydies in about a year's time! Perusing the threads here will only make you want more! I have to occasionally step away from the forum to recover financially. No kidding. :D

Welcome (sucka!). ;)

Welcome! I joined not too long ago and have fallen into the trap. Ive managed to buy 15 spydies in october alone. most from the secondary market so I got (mostly) fair prices. but some of them I was willing to pay a little more because I wanted them so badly, all thanks to all these kind folks here on the forums. But like you said, its only money so have fun and buy away!

It's not an addiction it's a way of life :D And it's a very good habit to get into. High Quality items are something you can never go wrong with.

There is so much to be said about any high quality tools. But a knife is a completely different tool in many ways. My Every Day Carry knives are essential. congrats on the Temp 2 it's one great fixed blade and high on my list.

Your new found hobby will be richly rewarding.

15 in one month that's pretty good. I might have to try that.

Because of Sal's modest comment, I'm going to buy a ManBug right now!
Spyderco please make a wire clip version of the Manbug/Ladybug!

Also, don't cross the significant other.
"Nothing is so fatal to the progress of the human mind as to suppose that our views of science are ultimate; that there are no mysteries in nature; that our triumphs are complete, and that there are no new worlds to conquer."
