The satellite pictures are incredible - looks like CGI from an end of the world movie. I just read a prediction of 16 to 22 foot waves in CHICAGO Tuesday. Be safe, don't mess with this one.

it's coming on and its going to come on strong from the looks of it...it has been described as a hurricane wrapped in a noreaster...winds have increased locally to 40 knots and the seas have built to 15 feet since 6 AM...high tide is at noon and it is a full moon tide...flooding seems to be the major concern around here. we spent thursday and friday moving our lobster traps to deeper water, put extra lines on the boat, and are crossing our fingers...this storm has the potential to wipe out a lot of fishermen up and down the east coast.

Kids are home from school today, so the wife is instinctively making brownies and banana bread, of course. What else do you do in a hurricane? :D

Stay safe everyone, I am in Ohio and we are getting some pretty incredible wind. I can only imagine what it's like on the coast. I hope everyone makes it through.

Hope everyone is safe this morning (Tuesday 10-30-12). Looks like Sandy has hit
hard in many areas. It is amazing how many States have been affected by
this. Even snow in West Virginia.

Stay Safe all.
