I would have to second that. I would really love a fully serrated Cara Cara 2 or Meadowlark 2.

i might buy a bird fixed blade if the cost is low enough to make it worth it. i wouldn't pay $50 for it though :(

I would also like to see an affordable fixed blade byrd. More and more I have been EDC'ing one.

Holy cow! Put that middle one in G10 & I'd buy it right now, today! That is simply AWESOME!!! Heck I'd even buy in it FRN and I hardly buy anything in FRN!

I dig travis' serrated one and Darkstar's designs best. Both are quite cool. I like farns' too but it wouldn't work as a byrd.

A general purpose fixed blade with a good price point would sell extremely well, IMO - it would have to be right nice to compete with the Buck fixed blades and the like, but I believe :spyder: to be in a good position to do this. similar to a bushcraft with less thrills, or like a Mora with a slightly heftier FFG blade. Instant classic.

I came up with a cooler byrd but I sent that to sal , not putting it in public, chances of it being consifdered of them asking me to develop it more are probably low hehe

I just want to pile on to all the other requests for a Byrd version of the Caly3. The Tern is a real favorite for me. Something slightly larger in a lockback would be great. I would prefer it in G10.

What type of locks are available from the chinese factory and what kind of blade shapes are available from the chinese factory?

If we can identify these, it might help us figure out some possibilities.

Would we be able to get a compression lock or reverse S blade in a Byrd model?

Some items that are available, and someone correct me if I'm wrong:

Wharnie, Hawkbill, Leaf, Drop Point

Hollow Grind, Flat Grind, Chisel Grind

Liner Lock, Back Lock, Slipjoint

A bigger hawkbill model would be excellent.

Maybe a medium sized fixed blade (around 3" ). I also like the idea of a "paramilitary-type" byrd knife.

I'd also love something with a hawkbill that has either frn or g-10 handle scales and a PE blade

Last year there was a photo posted briefly on another forum(from the Amsterdam meet) it was then taken down so I guess it was a proto . It a cool looking smaller Byrd knife
it wasnt named but was all metal ss or titanium (framelock?) I guess whith a stubby leaf blade and byrd hole the handles had little machined tornado shapes on them.Any news on this model?
