I don't know how many of you have signed up for Howes Knife shop e-mail updates, but if you haven't you should. He's running crazy price deals on the Yojimbo 2 and the Tuff right now. G4 and Las Vegas must not having him thinking right.

Wouldn't mind a Tuff but I need to lay off and wait for the Szabo.

YO2, ordered. I have been on a list elsewhere since January. It will be nice to have one in hand.

Wanted to wait for the Szabo, but couldn't resist and got another Yo 2 and Tuff.

Now the waiting begins . . .

Am I the only one who didn't see anything crazy? All prices look normal to me.

Howe's has gotten me a couple of times with his "hot deal". The last was the Sage4 I think. Keeping an eye on that site is a good idea. :)

I didn't look today because I don't have any money or want the knives mentioned. :( But, the hot deals on his site is quite often between a $10-$20 savings. You won't get a new car but I don't mind saving a couple bucks.

You know anyone selling Yojimbo 2's for $99 and Tuff's for $215?? Didn't take long for the Yo's to disappear.

Did anyone else notice what Howe's newsletter mentioned regarding the Szabo? His understanding from talking to Eric was that only the ones with the collector's numbers will have the gold fibers in the CF. The regular production ones won't have it. That is disappointing to me, as that is one of the reasons I really wanted the knife - I don't have the training to use a knife in a self-defense capacity, but wanted it for its looks.

Some said they didn't like the lightning strike CF. Maybe regular CF will make it a little cheaper? Matters not to me whats on the handle really.

Hmm, that is a bit disappointing. Well...really disappointing actually. I'm no SD guy but wanted it because it is an interesting looking knife and the lightening strike added to that look.

Maybe I'll pass on it then, or wait and see if I can get it cheap.

I was also looking forward to a new CF material on the Szabo. Maybe Jim misunderstood?

I've heard from more than a couple of folks that the Lightning Strike CF is a real bear to work with. Maybe it was causing production headaches and they decided to step away from it.

Just speculation, of course...

maybe normal prices but the words IN STOCK is what people are looking for. Normal and in stock on these few knives are a rare combination of words.

$215 for the Tuff with free shipping is *not* normal. :spyder: :)
