Jim Howe has over 21 in stock, looks like everybody who wanted one, got one. They do not seem to go so strong anymore, which was to be expected for a regular production knife. :)

These were out of stock at all sites for a bit. Now it seems that all shop received a bunch of them. Got mine :D

has anyone else noticed the really stiff opening detent on this knife? i have never experienced a spyderco quite this difficult.

I had the same problem when I first got mine. You need to work it in a little by opening and closing it. After a while it loosens up nicely.
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
