Any word on when the carbon fiber :spyder: Dodo sprint run will be coming out?

The word last March was 'after the orange G10 sprint', and there wasn't even a concept model to be shown. I wouldn't expect to see this sprint before 2013. When I consider the design/production cycle in the past and the fact that a concept model hasn't been shown yet on any of the knifeshows, I think 2014 is more likely.

BentoBoxShop has them up for preorder. Release date says August 2012, I find that hard to believe.

$299 msrp is give/take $185 on the web. Since the Orange G10 one was about $127 (from $199.99).

I'm not sure if it's going to much fancier than S30v, CF and a ceramic ball bearing lock. That's still mighty fancy and with the price tag might linger for long enough for the fanatics to snatch one. The orange version went faster than Hannah Montana tickets.

:D Well, both are examples of a brutal battering of supply by demand. Between the two only the Spyderco makes sense. :confused:

I held off on the orange sprint simply because I'm not a huge fan of the color. I've really been itching to try out a dodo though, so I am getting the cf for sure, even if it is ~$190 street price.

And I bought two of them because I love the color. Actually my nephew, who is the only person in my family beside me, who love knives, loves orange Dodo more than originals.
