New Custom Knife

#1

Post by cesar »

Today I bought this custom utilitarian knife at the I International Knife Show in São Paulo, Brazil. Damascus steel blade and buffalo horn handle.

Yet, I receive some lessons in knife care and sharpening, and excellent feedback of this knife from Mr. Jerry Fisk, pic below with me. The knife is a work of the Brazilian knife maker Mr. Alessandro Ciciliani, one of the very firsts knife fighting instructors in Brazil. Just to share with you! Sorry bad pics. Enjoy!

Thanks!

Very attractive-looking blade there, Cesar. I'm impressed with the file-working within the handle itself. Do you plan to use it, or is it strictly for the collection?

Either way, congrats on your new knife!

This is for use in weekends. I just have tactical and combat blades and this one is the 1st utilitarian I have. It is to extend my passion for knives to the weekend's barbecue! Will make my father in law jealous... hehehehehehe

HEHEHE...

After show this knife to father-in-law:

HE: "Nice knife... Damascus... good. I have one like this sometime ago..."
ME: "Where is it you never showed me?"
HE: "Nice question... I am asking wife where is it until today..."
ME: "Hope you find it... My one is a custom make knife for one of the oldest knife makers still working. Buy it at Knife Show. Fair price, nice cut... try it!"
HE: "F*ck! It cuts like a ****! Who sharpened it?"
ME: "Bought sharpened..."
HE: "take care boy... it can make you loose a finger!"
ME: "I'll keep safe. Have you lost your knife or maybe throw it out with afraid to loose your fingers?"
HE: "F*ck you..."
ME: :D

Thanks!

LMAO -- thanks for the thread, cesar... I'm going to look into the knife's maker... that is an amazing work of art, love the designs and materials, looks to be top- shelf craftsmanship from the pix and your descrips... would love to hold one first hand and just take it all in...

Might be a future customer; opportunity and bank account permitting, of course.

Really enjoyed the pix and your posts; tx again. ;)
