Future of cpm-m4

Do you see spyderco making other models in cpm-m4? I enjoy the non stainless for their uniqueness, ease of sharpening, and their slicing properties and I really like this steel, but would like to see a different model maybe a para2. I would also like a caly3.5. So para2 or caly 3.5 in cpm-m4. Please.

Well there has been a Mule, a Manix2, a Military, the Gayle Bradley and the upcoming Air. My guess is that we will see a Para2 in the steel at some point. I would like them to do more with M4 as well. I'd LOVE a ukpk in M4 and a small EDC fixed blade would be real sweet too.

I have yet to use it, but based on its praise from this forum, i would love to see this steel enter the paramilitary platform

I had a Gayle Bradley for a while and it just didn't work for me, but M4 on a Caly 3.5 sounds awesome!

It would be an instant classic in the Para2 platform and more than one person has requested it. My Gayle Bradley is one of my favorite spyderco's in large part due to the M4 blade steel. It just seems to get sharper the more cardboard I cut with it. I just hope they don't do it as a sprint, I think it would have great enough sales to justify being a catalogued item, assuming it didn't take away from sales of the gayle bradley to much.

I would get an M4 paramilitary in a heartbeat. I love non-stainless and patina.

I think it still has a bright future. Unfortunately with its less than ideal corrosion qualities you can't put it in every knife for the average Joe and Jane. That an it's not dirt cheap to produce. It really is more of a niche material opposed to the 154cm and even S30v uses.

That said, I would love to see it in more folders I wouldn't mind beating on. Even a Native FRN sprint.

I would without a doubt buy an M4 Para 2. I love how easily M4 gets stupid-sharp.

G-10 UKPK...with M4. I think a nice proper chocolate brown (not that color that was on the XHP Millie) would be awesome.

I'm all for more CPM-M4 knives. :D After being a new convert to semi-stainless/non-stainless steels, I cannot get enough! The M4 Para2 would be epic, as well as a new Military: perhaps a Millie2 with full carbon fiber scales... :spyder:

I agree with you all about the making of a Para 2 in CPM M4.
I am a bit so, so about the Para myself but thats just me & I do have a Para 2 S 90 V & a Military M4.
I choose the M4 to go in the military as the two of them go so darn well together.
For the life of me I can't understand why this is not a production model.
I also can't understand how you poor devils live without one.
Please Sal it is in your power to put this mob out of their misery & I am sure that will be appreciated by all.

Any model made in Golden or Taichung should be possible. The Japanese, however, are unwilling to work with foreign steels, as they consider their own to be superior.

Believe me, I'm trying to make my life better by owning a M4 Military! They are not easy to find...I think that it would be very interesting to see it as a production model, but I am not sure how well it sold as a sprint?
I'd be happy with it on any model, though I am not really a Para2 fan at all.

If they made an M4 Military they best make it a very large run. You know how fast theyd sell out if they did the usual 6-800. Forget it, I'd be waiting for the page to load and they'd be sold out.

It would be interesting to hear from Spyderco on how well the Gayle Bradley is selling vs. expectations. I think that would give us some good insight on how well a Para2 might do.

I think that would be comparing apples and oranges.

A design that they can't make fast enough to meet demand in the regular version as a sprint in M4 might beat the 6 day sell out of the 204P Para 2 regardless of how the GB is selling.

I would like to see it in a fixed blade. If all the hype (I don't own any M4) is true, I think a fixed blade would be awesome in this steel.

Another apples :o ranges issue is cost. The GB is, probably partly on purpose, a very affordable knife, especially given its materials. The Military has never been a low-cost knife, and I would guess that would affect sales.

Another vote for the M4-PM2 combination. Maybe with natural G10 scales? The natural G10 under the digicam in the mods thread looked crazy!
