Hello Sal,

Just wanted to know how far in the handle are the tangs of the Moran and the new Street bowie models. I know it is a FRN handle material. How tough is this stuff?? I always hear it is industructable but is it really??

Hi Liong. the tang goes in about 3/4 of the way into the handle which is injection molded around the handle. We've not had one break yet.

Dude ~ tangs aside, Uncle Bill's blade have exceeded our expectations back here in KL! *heh-heh!* Oh yeah, welcome aborad the forums!! I personally find the drop-point Moran favourable for all those heavy tasks! The upswept Moran is excellent for cutting!

Sam,

U must be having a **** of a time testing all those knives. I wish I was there with you.

Sal,

Thanks for the info. Great to know that there is enough handle material to this knife.
