Hello everyone

Post by balimade »

Just wanted to say hello to everyone on this forum, I guess this might be off topic but I see these types of things in general occasionally. This looks like a great forum, although is selling and buying allowed on this forum, as their is no section for it.

Welcome to the forums :)

It's strictly a community place for having fun and sharing information. That said, we often point each other to dealers with knives in stock and deals.

Most of us refer people who wish to partake in commerce to Bladeforums, Knife-BST, CPF Marketplace, USN, and eBay. There are others of course but those are the main ones I recall.

Cheers,

Welcome Balimade, enjoy your stay :)

No buying, selling or trading here which is a good thing and helps allow a very friendly and informative place :)

However if you have any questions, comments, or thoughts concerning a Spyderco knife this is the the place. There is a really good knowledgeable group here :)

Welcome balimade and budda,
This is a great place to hang out and talk about the spyderco knives that we all cherish so much.
There's lots of knowledgable and friendly folks here.
I have @ 30 spydercos. My first was a first gen delica that was gifted to me by my best friend, and that started my obsession.
My latest is the leafstorm, which was my fathers day gift from my wife, son, and his girlfriend.
Enjoy your stay!
Later,
Don

Welcome BuddhaUK. Enjoy the forum :) You have come to a good place.

No question is too "stupid". This sentiment was affirmed by the sponsors of this place a while back. As an individual who has gained quite a bit of understanding from the forum I am very appreciative of that atmosphere. I will add that sometimes some outside research might help a bit ;) We all ultimately take have to take the responsibility for our own learning :)

Welcome Balimade. (Bammann45's hanging tight to the wallet
is good advice, although no one follows it.)

My poor wallet is in intensive care at the moment! I used to have a Spydercard when I was young but gifted that to a friend :( didn't get another till about a year ago, via Heinnie Haynes (IMO the best in the UK for Spyderco).
In the last year though I went a bit crazy and am going to be p£ying for it for a while...
Totally worth it as a lot of mine are discontinued now
If you see a Spyderco you love, grab it while you can, that's why the big fella invented credit cards!

My Spydies are :
Kiwi III
Kiwi III Stag
Squeak
Urban Leaf Foliage Green G10
UKPK Drop Point Foliage Green G10
UKPK Carbon Fibre
UKPK Titanium (x2 so I can use and save one to dribble at)
Ralph Turbull T-Mag
and a Sharpmaker to keep em sweet!

The UKPK Ti is my favourite, a near perfect non-locker! I will start apologies in advance for all the times I will mention a sprint run with a Damascus blade but I know Sal and Eric hear all (bit like Santa) and if you don't ask you probably won't get.

As for the rest of my wish list... One of everything on the :spyder: menu and a change in UK laws would be nice!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone (awesome Fathers day present Don, they REALLY care, would like to hear your opinions on it, looks lovely), much love to all Spyderholics,
look forward to hearing your thoughts on everything :spyder: !
