Trying to decide between two Spydercos, some advice please

Been looking at the Perrin PPT and the Superleaf for a while and just can't decide, any thoughts? I am about dead even on many features:
1. love both locks compression vs hybrid, basically frame lock.
2. love both blade shapes, I like the PPT's shape better but SL looks like the better slicer and leaf shape blades aint bad looking either
3. love both pocket clips deep carry vs, deep carry wire clip
4. both have good blade steel IMHO VG10 vs CPMS30V
5. both have good ergos
6. close in price although PPT is a few dollars more
7. Neither is made in the USA so no points for either on this
I think that the SL has it by a bit in the weight class, but , light weight isn't a big factor for me and I think that the PPT has nicer G10 scales, what is the wow factor of one over the other?

Super leaf has blade thickness of 4mm and the ppt has 3mm. I would love the 4mm but that's me.

Superleaf all the way for me. My buddy has a PPT and it is a nice knife but its chunky for its small-ish (smaller than I imagined) size. I'm not a huge fan of how it feels in hand but YMMV. I will say that although he loved it at first he hasn't carried it since about the first week he got it.

I have not held the PPT, but I know the Superleaf was a homerun for me at least. It is strong with great ergos and really great in the hand.

Don't have a PPT, it has never "done it" for me, but I absolutely love my superleaf. Thick blade inspires confidence, but can still cut like crazy.

I just have the Superhawk but love the handle. To me the Superleaf has a superior "modern" design where the PPT has the exotic flair of three genius designers collaborating with Spyderco.

In the car world (I adore them) the PPT is the Mini Cooper and the Superhawk is the Civic. Both excellent and similar in use. However, style typicially has its nuances over pure execution of modern ergonomics.

The Perrin PPT is slightly shorter, stouter and heavier. It's extra weight comes from them skelotonized steel handle slabs and G10. At first glance when I got mine, I thought why oh why was the blade only 3mm comparing to those thick handles but now that I have used it for some time, 3mm work just fine for me. I like how the PPT is designed with the spine jimping on the blade and that unique handle. There is a small piece of G10 stopping the lock getting pushed outward when releasing the lock. It is a great slicer as I found out when slicing king coconuts for a refresher.

The superleaf on the other hand did not appeal to me so I never purchased one. The one turn off for me on this knife is that pointy protrusion at the base of the handle.

I have four more knives on order (a Delica, Yojimbo2, Tuff and a Kingdom Armory Samaritan) though I may cancel all and only go with one. If I do, I know I will buy a back up Perrin PPT. Happy for now that this version is a standard design in their catalog.

The hook at the base of the handle is what I believe is called a "pinky ramp" in the colloquial. Strange looking perhaps but it gives a ton of leverage and security in hand. Not a very common feature.

You opinion is still completely valid :) . Just pointing out the reasoning at least from my use. It's a nuisance in the pocket but amazing in hand. Definitely hit or miss aesthetically.

I never really looked at it as a useful feature.

The Spyderco dayhiker and cold steel spartan also dont get my vote for the same reason. However, those less pronounced variations such as in use on the Para2 does not distract me from buying.

I had both at one time. I like the ergos and deep-pocket carry of the PPT, but it felt really heavy in my pocket. I did not care for the partially obscured opening hole for the PPT. I ended up trading the PPT. I still have the Superleaf. For me, it's one of those knives, like the Caly 3, that is really hard to find flaws with. I wish it were a bit smaller for my EDC preferences, but I really like it: choil, flow-through design, compression lock, structured handle that provides a nice grip for me.

I have them both and well, like my sig says, you need to buy them both :D .

The PPT has probably the best (IMO) jimping of any Spyderco knife, it is fine jimping that is not sharp or uncomfortable at all, but gives just the right amount of traction. The Superleaf is a pocketful, but really inspires confidence, and give me a very comfortable grip. Both VG10 and S30V steel will perform well and sharpen right up. You can't really go wrong with either of them.

Since the SuperHawk was discontinued, I have to wonder if the SuperLeaf will be discontinued soon also, but I have no inside information on that. There isn't as much mention of it here as the PM2, but it does come up in conversation, and I hope Spyderco is selling enough of them to keep it in production.
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)

Interesting comparison. Both are very nice utilitarian knives coming from completely different styles. Both are extremely comfortable in hand and good slicers with a sharp edge :D

The Superleaf is the smoother and more non threatening looking of the 2.

Depends on what's meant by "wow factor". For whom or what  For all around capability I would suggest the Superleaf. For more close quarter and precision cutting with a more tactical look I would suggest the PPT. Both however are very nicely built knives made from good materials. F&F is great on both of mine. They're each getting equal pocket time.

I think both over time would be the best option. No way to pinpoint just one ;)
