Is there a way to determine the ring size of a finger if you don't know? I'm thinking wrap a string around the finger and maybe there is a chart to match the string length to ring size. Something like that.

Any help out there?

go to a jewelry store. that is the best way to know the correct size and what is comfortable to wear.

I found it. Print the ring sizing chart. Pretty cool.

Not bad in a pinch, but if it's a ring you're going to spend considerable cash on, or wear often (or constantly) go see a jeweler. It'll take 30 seconds to be sure. It's an easy thing to mess up, trust me. I'm on my third wedding band. (We've only been married since November of last year. )

Even Walmart's jewelry dept will size your finger for you.

I used the method to size ring size in post #3. Then I ordered a couple of rings. I'll let you know how this turns out.

You post a thread about getting advice on a tablet, everyone gives you good suggestions, then you go and buy something else on ebay. You post a thread about ring size, everyone says one thing and you do another.

I know. All the good advice about the tablet, the features I really thought made the better tablet put it above what I wanted to spend for a tablet. I did appreciate the advice about the tablet a lot. What I got was just what I needed. A lot of good info about the features and examples to pick from which included prices of course. Me asking about which tablet to buy was like someone with $50 asking which knife to buy on this forum. The money I wanted to spend just wouldn't get me a Gayle Bradley tablet. :) I only had money for a Dragonfly tablet. Good tablet without the really nice qualities that one individual may like more than others. Of course I did have to return it because it broke. :mad: Maybe that should teach me something. :)

The ring size thing was I asked about ring size which I did before researching it at all. After posting I found a bunch of ways to check it within a few minutes on the internet and ordered two rings (which aren't important rings, <$12 each) before the advice came in. I think the size will be ok. I checked it on my wife's finger then used one of her rings to match with a circle on the paper I printed and it matched fine. We'll see though. If I was getting important rings I'd have gone to the jewelry store.

Alright, good luck with the rings.

That's a good analogy with the tablet.

Just remember too that the ring has to go on and off your fingers...some people have larger knuckles and have to get a size up to get over the knuckle..the online sizing thingy might not account for that.

I think you're a 4...or a 9. Try those I think.
