My Millie is like the new, territorial dog in the house. My hand just goes for my Millie lately, leaving my Para 2 sitting on the shelf. I feel bad, almost like I'm neglecting it, but I just feel "meh" about the Para 2 lately. Maybe it's just a phase?

Rumor has it you can make money flipping para 2's. If you don't use, then sell it.

Yea, I don't want to be one of "those" guys Plus the Para 2 was a Christmas gift.

I don't know where you heard that flipping rumor, but I haven't found that to be true.

I'm in the same boat. I was skeptical about the Military for the longest time and more or less forced myself to buy one, and now i'm starting to really like it. I haven't carried my Para 2 for a couple weeks now, which is a bit of a shock because it's my favorite knife in the lineup right now.

I feel like it's just too big for me to EDC. But that's what I thought about the Para2 before I got one. I guess I'll have to pick one up and see how I like carrying it around, sounds like I won't be disappointed.

What happened to the Endura? :)

Same with me. My Millie gets more PT now.

The first time I saw one in person I thought it was just ridiculously large and didn't think I'd ever buy one, the only reason I did was because of the Ti/G10 CPM-M4 sprint which I got for selling or trading, luckily mine came out of the box with a scratch on the blade so I decided to just use it instead, I now have 3 (4 on monday). I also now prefer blades that are 3.5 - 4" instead of where I started 3 - 3.4".

I think that the Millie is a better knife so I'm not surprised by that at all.

I feel like the lillie would kick the para out of the pocket for me. The para issort if cramped behind the choil for me.......im buying the next supersteel sprint lillie...what ever it will be...if nothing comes out in 3 months, s30v it is :)

By the way lillie = millie ... too much hassle to correct that on my phone

Are enduras and delicas not considered gateway knives? They work great, clean lines, very comfortable. The last knife you will ever need, well that is untill you see another spydie. The thoughts start creaping in..That choil on the sage looks really nice. I wonder if I should try it? Ah but its to expensive...well I guess I could try a dragonfly, it has the choil and I suppose its the right size to not scare people but, it will get the job done when needed. Im not even gonna argue what edge I want, always gonna be a plain edge user.....well.....maybe the dragonfly is a good knife to try it, or should I get a second endura/delica???........ Anyways you get the idea.

From my experience most of my new knives become my favorite almost immediately. Then after the "new" wears off is when It stays a favorite or not. When I got my Sage1 it was an absolute favorite. Then I got a Gayle Bradley and it was right in the running for favorite EDC. After a couple of weeks I found the GB to be a little larger than I likde for EDC so the Sage1 remained my favorite. The GB is right there with it though. When I got my Sage4 it became my favorite. Same ergos as the Sage1 with a stronger feel to it. It has remained my favorite and it's been about a month now and the Sage4 hasn't left my pocket. I loved the Sage1 for the size, looks and durability. Now the Sage4 has the same size, looks different but good and the strength and durability seem a little higher. So, I get everything with the Save4 that the Sage1 has plus what feels like a "harder use" knife than the Sage1.

So, time will tell if your military being the new favorite will pass the test of time. If it does, good. If it doesn't, good. Both are great knives I'm sure.

Yeah that cramped behind the choil thing is one of the main reasons I like the Military. Initially when I would hold the Military I always choked up on it but it never felt as comfortable as other choiled knives. I compare all 50/50 choils to the Caly 3 and the Military just doesn't come close. One day it just occurred to me that some knives like the Caly 3 and Para 2 are designed around gripping at the choil as the primary grip, while the Military seems the opposite since it feels so much better gripped behind the choil. Once I realized this and used the Military I realized the choil is just for detailed cuts and I use it as such. I used to really hate how long the handle was but that was because I always choked up on the choil so I've come to appreciate the grip length more. I'm still adjusting to the blade length but I think if the Military 2 ever comes out with an ambidextrous lock, it just might become my favorite.

Hard to pick the paramilitary 2 when you have a millie. About the same weight with more blade. I find that if you are going to carry a knife with a blade over 3" you might as well carry the millie over the para 2.
