Not bad, but would be much cooler if the scales were actually silicone circuit board. ;)

Whitefeather, that is really cool. Let me guess: you sanded down the G10 and etched the circuit traces?

I actually milled the lines and filled them with gray epoxy.

Nice job there.

I have seen one before somewhere on a forum, I think that was actually made out of a green circuit board.

Silicon is used in semiconductor circuits, circuit boards are basically G-10 with copper cladding etched into required 'traces'.

Scales with traces visible just below the surface would be very cool, but probably not feasible for a production-scale knife. :(

I've always wanted to try a custom with visible traces, but I've never found a piece with the right pattern (and 'faking' it didn't seem worth the time.)

The machining on this Para2 is fantastic. Can't wait to see more inlay!

I had been thinking more or less the same, that I had seen a knife done in real circuit board. Did some searching and found the one I was thinking of.

JLS wrote:I couldn't wait for them to do it, so I did one myself. It's not G10, strictly speaking, but close enough. Plus this looks cooler. I will have to get some textured G10 and do it right soon. It really wasn't too scary.

I'll have to get some pictures in better light tomorrow. The blue on the board really pops nicely.

Fill the Parabyte with the glowing epoxy and you'll have a Parabyte "TRON" :)
