Awesome movie much respect to our men that serve and all the SEALs if you haven't seen it you should. Saw a spyderco clipped to a guys vest towards the end too. Looked to be an H-1 spyderco by the clip style and FRN handle. Not much computer effects in this one which is awesome. I won't go into any major details so as not to ruin the movie but i liked it a lot. I might even go see it again.

I can't speak to the movie, but the book is really good - a great read.

Can't get any better when you have SEAL's portraying themselves.

i saw this movie on friday (first day) it was an ok action movie but the acting sucked. now i know what you say "the seals are real seals they dont act!"i understand that. however i wasnt impressed with the plot or the acting of the real actors. the plot was kindof confusing and the real actors werent event that great. i did like the live fire though. that was a nice touch.

I thought all the action scenes were pretty cool but the acting wasn't all that great. The plot was just kind of "eh" ish. I did get excited at the end when the guy had a Native 4 clipped to his vest because that was what I had clipped to my pocket.

It is definitely a movie I would see again. I too saw a spyderco on one of them. I thought it was a good movie with excellent portrayal (from what I'm concerned) of what they do and how they do it.

Saw it today and I loved it! It's good to see a movie that does not portray our heroes in a negative way. SEALS doing what they do and the fact that it was actual SEALS only made it better. I'm going to buy the movie when it comes out.

Acting was pretty bad and overall the movie was kinda corny. However, I thought the action scenes were some of the best. That is after all the reason I went to see it, definitely didn't go for the award winning performances. It was really refreshing to see firearms handled correctly in a movie. Unfortunately the movies are where most people learn firearm safety or complete lack thereof.

The plot may have been confusing to some, but it was a realistic portrayal of what is going on in the world we live in today.
Not to insult anyone and without giving away the ending, I will sum it up by saying that it boils down to jihadists working with weapons received from an international arms dealer, utilizing networks and "muscle" put together by drug cartels to infiltrate the U.S. in a bid to carry out terrorist acts to disrupt and cripple our economy. The sheer scale of the threats faced may have confused many people, especially since none of the action took place in Iraq or the 'stan, but the threat is real and global. I liked the fact that they brought Chechen and Filipino jihadist into the mix as many people don't seem to realize the role they have played against our country and others for well over a decade.

As for the acting, I would rather watch real SEALs play SEALs than some Hollywood pretty boys with polished acting skills play make believe pretend tough guys. I'll buy it when it comes on DVD for my boys to watch as much as they like.

Well said Viking, well said. I am going to watch that movie again this Friday with a buddy of mine. There may be more of us going as some of my coworkers want to watch it as well. Good Times!

I saw it today and was happy to see some Spyderco in it. I think I saw two:

When the girl was abducted, I think a Tasman was used by the bad guys to cut carpet.

Near the end, a Native Lightweight was clipped to his vest.

I don't think the Native Lightweight was ever officially called a Native 4, the Native 4 had the carbon fiber scales and a flat ground blade.

Great movie. If your a man and don't this like this movie you need your man card pulled. As far complaining about the acting. If you wanted to see good acting go see a chick flick and leave your man card at home. Really? What were some of you guys expecting?

great that spyderco's are portrayed operational carry.
which however still leaves the biggest secret mystery of which fix bladed knives do navy seals carry in this century...

When I became a man, I didn't get this so called card. Where do I receive such a thing telling me I'm a man? I usually just get the confirm from my lower regions.

Don't think anyone was taking points away for the bad acting. We were simply saying the acting was bad, ha I knew that one going in. I wouldn't recommend chick flicks for good acting either.

I'm just a bit luckier than most, I'll always be a man since I don't have a card that can be revoked. I'm sorry for the burden this card has put on you.

Your having some confidence/insecurities issues feeling that I singled you out. You shouldn't take things so personally since they weren't generally directed at you. I hope that you move forward with your manliness intact since your so eager to defend it.
