Puuko Variants?

#1

Post by v34 »

I know this knife has just started to enter the market place in its birch handled iteration but will this fixed blade follow the BushcraftUK by being followed by a micarta or polished G10 handle version?

I don't get on with wood handling and the Streetbeat and G10 Bushcrafter I have need a black handled stablemate!

I really liked the 1 I handled at BLADE, other than S30V as the steel choice. I'd be all about another version with a G10 Handle and a different steel, preferably carbon/tool steel.

It would be nice if a G-10 version was made available at a significantly reduced price. I like the design, but I'm finding it difficult to justify the price as it is now. If it's the ironwood that's driving the price up, a polished G-10 version would seem to make sense.

I'm guessing that, as with most new models, sales of the original version will play a major role in determining whether variants eventually appear.
