Citadel safety no longer works - can I send it in?

I have a Spyderco Citadel 93mm. Yesterday I noticed the safety no longer works. Can I send it in? Not sure how repairs work with autos. TIA.
As I understand it, if you're active duty military, or a LEO, no problem, just fill out the Restricted Item Return Form that came with it and send it in. If you're a private citizen, you're SOL.Buffalohump wrote:I have a Spyderco Citadel 93mm. Yesterday I noticed the safety no longer works. Can I send it in? Not sure how repairs work with autos. TIA.

Totally. AFAIK, they aren't even allowed to sell us parts.Buffalohump wrote:SOL? As in screwed? :D

This. Work with the local vendor you purchased it from. Either that, or find a friend in the force that would be wilng to help. That is if you have one.Owl45 wrote:You could probably deal with the issue by going thru a vendor.
You send it to the vendor, the vendor sends it to Spyderco for repair.
IIRC, BladeHQ will do this for you (even if they didn't sell you the knife).
There probably will be a small fee for processing.
