These rainy winter days cause me to spend too much time on the computer, puts me in an altered state, and then the postman puts a red and black box in the mailbox!
Rained all day so at 11:00AM EST I hit the submit button for my first Mule, walked out to the shop to clean and sharpen some old knifes and saw the postman stop. This is what was in the red and black box today and I really like it.
Caly 3.5 SUPERBLUE
I'm gonna pretend this post didnt cause my SB fix to flare again, and that the substitute grey ukpk that arrives on tuesday will be sufficient to quell my addiction until such time as i can afford the **** 3.5. Thanks alot.

That would be the one! Do you use Tuf-Glide, Flitz, or just oil on your blade? I noticed a lot of folks don't like the knife because of the staining but when I was a young man (been a while) just about all our knifes would stain especially if you had an orange or tomato for lunch on the job. Does it hold the nice edge well?
SuperBlue sharpens easily and keeps a nice high edge well :) My SB Mule is at 20 deg with a small 30 deg microbevel and holds it well for slicing.
It likes to patina, but doesn't seem to want to rust. Part of the beauty of the material is in the patina for me :) It also sharpens very sharp very easily :D
