I dont know if im the only one but I would like a Mule thats more affordable such as the MT05(9Cr18Mo Steel). At 19.95 it was perfect for those wanting to try out the Mule platform without spending too much.

I liked getting a MT05 and being able to make my own scales and etc.

I would also like a cheaper mule at some point. Any idea what that might be anyone? Is there a Chinese steel that out performs 9cr18mov?

Why does everyone want Elmax? Thats not some fancy wacky new stuff, we've been playing with that for a long time now. Dare I call it common? Lets go exotic like Vanax75, or as Blerv said "something I've never heard of."

Something new and different...something crazy. Something that is tough but has amazing edge retention.

Yeah, I like Elmax, but I'll have a knife or two in it shortly, so I'd be OK forgoing that Mule. 10v and S110v though, while not the newest things on the planet are two that not a lot of use have/will get to play with otherwise.

^---- I've always seen the Mule project as Spyderco's little geeky steel sandbox. You know, Sal and Eric sitting around and saying, "Let's see if we can get ____ and play with it!"

Many people see it as a way to get exotic build-a-bear knife projects. Not that they don't and that is a bad thing! Just a different perspective I guess. Seems the Spyderco team and fans love the project about the same. A good thing regardless. :)

Jeez.. I'm still back on how amazing the M390 was. Guess CPM s110V is the one I'm most eager to abuse next.

S110V DLC coated
Im pretty sure thats not going to happen. DLC is most likely out for mules. As somone who makes their own scales, I can tell you this would create a big problem if the blade were dlc'd prior to flushing up the scales. Besides S110v is already so expensive, any added costs might make it not worth making for spyderco.

I haven't bought a mule yet, for various reasons, but if they did one in S110V i'd definitely buy one, two if i could get my hands on them.
