I forgot how great this album really was. What a great mixture of deep lyrics, singing, screaming, fast pace, slow down, various instruments. Each song provided something different.

Lately...a lot of Cannibal Corpse, which is funny to me because we used to me fun of the band and whole genre when I was a teen because it's all so ridiculous, but once you get past that they actually crazy talented musicians.

Funny you mention them because I've been hearing their new song Inhumane Harvest on XM Liquid Metal lately, which made me add them to my YouTube workout mix.

Did you ever listen to Six Feet Under back in the 90's? I believe the lead singer of CC was their lead singer back then? Safe to say my parents weren't a fan of that haha.

I did some but as far as CC goes I'm a George Fisher fan more than Chris Barnes. I like the first couple CC albums but prefer their later stuff.

This song came out when I was about 11 (1974). I don’t give a darn if it was a ‘disco’ song; IMO it’s a good song, and I neither knew nor cared what a disco was at the time, anyway. I liked popular songs from all different genres, and back in the ‘70s, the radio stations didn’t differentiate between hard and soft rock, folk, funk, soul, R&B, and even some crossover country songs.

I'm starting out this Friday with the first three Black Sabbath albums. I wish I could go back in time and be there when their first album released in 1970.

Quite the pitchers dual for my Brewers vs the Twins. 1 hit between both teams, which resulted in a home run. 23k's between the 2 starting pitchers!

I've had this album on repeat for a few days now. This song seems more appropriate than ever.

When I get into these type of threads, I tend to have too much time to kill. And this is no exception. The weather has been straight up mayhem for the last week and it has eventually killed my motivation to do anything outdoor related.

I listen to just about anything, and can't say I have a specific taste. There are some songs and artist trending at different points in time though, and lately it seems these are getting the most playtime:

I'm not a fan of Sigrids own work, but she's a great singer and does some amazing covers. This is probably my favorite one, a live cover of a Norwegian hip hop song in a dialect so difficult I had to look up the lyrics to understand any of it myself. She does her own version and just nails it. The lyrics are quite meaningful once you understand them, so non Norwegian speaking listeners will obviously miss out on that dimension

Another artist that does great covers (in my subjective opinion) is Peter Buka. He might not be the most polished pianist, but there's a raw energy and passion there that's really enjoyable to listen to.

The rock genre is probably my favorite overall, and after Eddie van Halen sadly past away last year, my interest in van Halen had something of a resurgence. This still being my favorite
