My thoughts are with the surviving victims, families of victims, and anyone else who suffered a direct loss on this day 10 years ago.

My thoughts go out to the families of the victims, to the survivors and their families, the responders and those who worked to clean up the site. Beyond that, my thoughts on 9/11 are far too dark to post on this forum.

To me, the events of 11Sept2001 represent how little the terrorists of the world understand the American spirit. They believed that if they hit us hard enough, we would be cowed and broken. Instead, we hunted those responsible and their confederates to the ends of the earth. They believed that they could frighten our people into allowing them to do as they wished to theirs. Instead we shattered governments that supported them and gave respite and charity to those they would have dominated with their backwards religious tyranny. Even now, they believe that if they just hit us a little harder we will stop pursuing and persecuting them. Instead, we mourn the loss of our countrymen and rededicate ourselves to the cause of justice. In this past decade... we have made our enemies pay dearly for every drop of blood they spilt, and we aren't finished settling that debt. My heart goes out to everyone who was hurt or killed during the attack and their families... the innocents who paid the ultimate price. Also to every uniformed service member who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty after the towers fell... they are my brethren all. Finally to those whose sacrifices have yet to be made.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

I would like to know the real truth

#6

Post by JD Spydo »

I would still like to know why Building #7 in the World Trade Center complex also fell later that afternoon and there was no evidence of anything hitting it

Jesse Ventura sure gave us a lot to think about with all the research he presented on "TruTV" concerning the buildings falling at nearly the same speed as a bowling ball falling from that distance  .

Also what are the mathematical odds of both buildings falling in the exact same fashion

OK call me a conspiracy theorist if you all want>> but those are legitimate questions that I feel that I myself and the American people deserve an answer to.

In other words I want the truth no matter how dark it is :(

My most sincere condolences to all the victims, first responders and to everyone directly and indirectly involved in the 9-11 disaster. GOD help us all :(

My thoughts goes out to all victims, family's and responders and the thought of that day still makes my heart hurt. I'm also very angry but that is for another day.

The one positive that came from that horrible day for me is my best friend,
CH. Capriccio's Courage Under Fire. AKA: "Tank" . 10 years old today and still happy, healthy and bringing us lots of joy.

What Paul said.

I think that the investigation certainly left something to be desired, but I agree that this is a topic that is not appropriate for today. No offense, Joe, I just think it's pretty reasonable to take a day off on this topic (though as you know, I don't mind discussing some of these things backchannel).

I have tremendous respect and empathy for the folks who were affected on 9/11/2001, and i am not terribly soft-spoken about this. I don't like the mainstream media constantly using the event to support the agenda of partisan politicians, but like many on here I don't trust the MSM for my news. I do my own research.

Prayers and well wishes to all affected.

My Heart goes out to all those who have suffered for what happened on 9/11. My prayers are with all of their families, and especially the families of the two friends I lost that tragic day. I still can't bring myself after all these years to visit the site, maybe one day when I'm stronger I can give it a try. I know now that I won't be able to handle that, I fear I may have an emotional breakdown I may never recover from. G-d bless all and Never Forget!...Doc :D

This is the day when, ten years ago, the Earth stood still.
As a father and police officer, I send my thoughts and prayers for children who lost a firefighter / police parent in the 911 attack.
May God bless their souls. May justice be done.

The key here is NEVER FORGET!

Because, the day we do forget is the day all the lives lost and the sacrifices made mean nothing. Because, the day we do forget is when those responsible for the horrible deeds of 11 September 2001, win. Because, the day we do forget is when those responsible for the horrible deeds of that day do it again.

Complacency and ignorance kills!

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it!

NEVER FORGET!

Oh I have a right to say something as long as it's what you approve of? Or what you want to hear?

And Building #7 wasn't a theory>> it fell just like the twin towers did and on the same day.

So I guess wanting to know the truth isn't very popular now a days :( ?

And as far as having sincere condolences for the deceased I care just as much as you do.

It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years since that day. I was at home and my dad called from work, telling my mom to turn the news on. Even though I don't think I quite grasped the weight of it then, it was still surreal to watch.

I have nothing but sympathy for those whose lives were devastated by the events of 9/11/2001.

My thoughts beyond that are best kept to myself, other than that I side with JD. To speak more would only invite attack.

As far as I go, Jordan summed it up best. Peace Be With Those Innocents who have suffered and died on that tragic day.

Thank You to All First Responders, and members of all the Branches of Military Service; My Thoughts and Prayers are with all of them and their Families this day and Every Day.

We Shall Persevere, and May We Never Forget.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

I had a 4 hour drive for work that morning. I left around 7am central time. I was listening to it on the radio in the car and couldn't wait to get to the office because they had a TV in the break room. The station I was listening to was one that played music most of the time. They didn't play another song for the rest of my trip after the first comment about the first plane. When I got there several people were watching. I've heard many people tell what they were doing that morning.

Is there anyone reading this that doesn't remember in pretty clear detail what they were doing that day?

I watched events unfold from TV @ work. I somehow felt that this was Our Version of Pearl Harbor, and felt at that time, that Life would be different from then on in. To be attacked like that was just unbelievable. To watch our Countrymen Dying live on TV Sickened Me, and changed Me forever.

In the Days following 911 I especially remember how Quite it became.
How empty the Skies were, no contrails, no air traffic noise, ominious!

To this day, We still are under this cloud with everything that has been imposed on Us because of this Tragedy, but We as a Nation are strong, and have continued on.

My heart goes out to the Families of the Victims of this tragedy, The people going about their business and reporting for work, never to return. The Brave Men and Women responders, both deceased and living, We owe them a Debt of Gratitude which can't ever be repaid.
We owe them all, "To Never forget. To Keep Their Spirits Alive, To Remember Them, and to always keep them in our prayers."

God Bless,

I could not imagine having to go through what the first responders went through that day. I work in a semi-dangerous environment and have known two people who were killed but when it came down to it they were complacent and not aware of their surroundings. If you play by the rules, don't take chances and basically pay attention you will always come home alive. Unlike the first responders, that day as well as many many other days, they have to put themselves in dangers way so that other people can come home alive. There should be a picture of a first responder in the dictionary beside the word hero. That is why it's so outrageous that it took so long for them to get any medical compensation for their illnesses caused by that day's horrendous activities and even now cancer is not considered an ailment caused by the dust on that day and to add some salt to the wound they will be screened FBI's terrorism watch list. And to top it off, they were barred from attending today's ceremony. Instead of being treated like hero's as they should be they're being treated like pariah's.

To be truthful this is some kind of sick joke. This last week including today all I've been hearing or reading is "Never forget" or "My thoughts go out to them". Almost no one is saying "Why are they being treated like trash?". Put yourself in their shoes. You go into an extremely dangerous situation and by the hand of God you make it out alive only to find you have serious ailments caused by that dangerous situation and are told to sit down and shut up. How would you feel?

Pinetreebbs, a lot of the first responders and families that had family members die that day do not believe the official story of that day. I guess they should spare us the conspiracy theories especially on this day?
