National Knife Day - August 24, 2011

#1

Post by dapagco »

National Knife Day is this Wednesday! Spyderco will be celebrating our favorite day of the year all day long! If you are on Facebook or Twitter, be sure to check us out there, and if you prefer to participate using a different method, check out ourNational Knife Day page on Spyderco.com.

Let's show National Knife Day some support! Tell your friends and coworkers and don't forget to log onto Spyderco.com, Facebookor Twitteron Wednesday for a chance to win some cool stuff. :)

National Knife Day is a day dedicated to knives; big knives, small knives, kitchen knives, tactical knives, swords, claws and talons (and the list can go on and on). All God's critters use them in one form or another, so it's only fitting that we have a day to recognize them. Knives are one man's oldest and most used tools!

I only found out about Knife day this morning. Last night I sharpened or touched up these knives: Kiwi, Delica4, Michael Walker, Manix2, Native, Gayle Bradley. They were all pretty sharp but I was bored. Now I can shave with any of them but won't because of  .

I'm still trying to find out how to win Spyderco stuff. :D

I love how Melbourne, Australia is located in the middle of the gulf of Guinea :D

Edit: It looks like unrecognized positions are placed at 0˚N 0˚E on the map.

Today is the day! Head over to Spyderco.com/knifeday where you will find a (pretty sweet) map of where everyone is celebrating today worldwide. Enter your city, state and email address (or City, Country for our international enthusiasts) and you will be automatically entered to win stuff.

We are giving away a couple Sage2's and some other cool prizes all day!

Here are a couple of creative shots of my Spyderco ATR SE, thanks to an iPhone app. It seemed the most appropriate of my knives for this special today.

Regards,
Ira

I used my Leatherman Blast to eat the steak that I brought for lunch. I have my Ladybug Salt in my pocket. I was hoping that my new Para-Military would arrive today, but it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow. :(
