how do i take apart my benchmade 525? it's an axis lock but the backspacer has a hidden pin or something.. i need to do something to even out that blasted freaking backspacer or my brain is going to end up becoming uneven so that the knife looks right.... really disappointed with the QC as it's been sent in twice with no fix......... what tools should i use? should i sand it down?

Don't own one so can't really give any specific advice. Since it is an aluminium handled knife anodized black, sanding it while its together is not an option since you'd also sand the scales in the process. I suspect the backspacer is also aluminium so sanding it even when its removed from the knife is not really possible either without removing the anodization.

Only option with only a slim chance of success would be to loosen the screws and see if the backspacer wiggles at all while in place, if the tolerances in the screw holes are tight enough, it won't do anything. :(
