It Took A While

I'd been meaning to get an Aqua Salt since handling the model at Blade '07 or '08... can't remember which.
A few weeks back, I saw something about the knife and thought, "I need to finally get one of those."
Imagine my embarassment when I found out the knife was discontinued. :o

So I searched. The black SE was easy. The yellow PE? Not so much.
I went 25 pages deep into Google, sent numerous emails, and found a total of two in-stock vendors and five knives total.
I wound up having to wait out a postal strike in Canada to get mine, but it arrived today.

The black SE is going to be the greatest fishing/bait knife I've every owned. The PE has all sorts of potential. Glad I snagged 'em both.

I know you're going to love the black one. That toothy SOB will cut through just about anything :D Let us know how it goes.

Great snags, made sure to get a couple of yellow PE ones too. I'm not 100% sure but think they are being re-released in VG10

Great buy. I love my SE aqua salt, one of my favorite knives. I like it so much that I bought one for my sister as a gift before they all disappeared. Just FYI, the FRN sheath will dull the PE blade. The serrations on the SE blade will protect the edge, but you might notice the non-serrated section of the tip getting dull. Still one of the most useful knives I own - H1 SE is awesome!

I have the yellow se version. Bought it for any serious boating adventures I may ever take. That hasn't happened yet, so the knife hasn't seen any action, yet :( ...one day.
