Oh man. Just saw this thread. I'm new to the forum, obviously. I'm blown away at the level of attention and interaction we get from Spyderco! This is awesome! Just one more reason Spyderco rocks.

Ok, I fell in love with the original Bob T clipits and have never owned one. I recently picked up a slipit, but it's just not what I've always wanted. I'm very excited to see the Starmate making its way back!

Like others here, I'd prefer a Golden-made one, but if that means we never see it then Seki or Taiwan works. I'm not so picky about blade steel, but definitely want dark G10 or CF. Can't wait!

For reference, this is the handmade prototype for the new Starmate:

Is this a handmade prototype? Wow, this knife is beautiful, the only thing I don't like about it is the pocket clip

I'll be danged. I never thought I'd live to see the day when they'd resurrect one on my favorite Spydies of all time. Wow. Just wow. Can't wait!
