Bring Back the Salsa!

#1

Post by Dr. Snubnose »

Just cause it's one of those I missed up on first time around...Since the newbies are getting a crack at some oldies like the Yo2 soon and the Ayoob...great knives....how about a little Salsa...Sal? It's got your name in it's name.....OK guys you can really rub it in if you want.....show me your Spyderco Salsa....But I warn you don't show me any Cranberry Colored ones...or I might have to hunt you down...LOL....They really make me drool..... :p Doc :D

Agree! Hot little big knife, compression lock, positive closure and the cobra hood too.

Uhm, I have a red Salsa, NOT Cranberry. :D

I'd bite. I missed out on these too.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

I might be in, but sold mine as the "hood" was a draw back for me on such a little knife. Blade play was also an issue on some.
Here are a few that were traded away...........
Had to go back quite a ways in the photobucket account. LOL LOL

I stopped carrying mine after the second time I found it partly open in my pocket (once clipped, once loose). To me, Cobra Hood + Compression Lock + tip up carry = bad idea.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

I have found myself looking at this knife a lot lately. I would be interested in one.

I'd probably get one. I have no Salsas in my collection yet.

I am waiting for them to release a nice Spyderco Tortilla Chip so that the Salsa doesn't get lonely.

I would consider one. I have been waiting for a user S for a while. This also looks like a good LBK.

I have a green PE one, but never carry it due to opening in my pocket a few times. It is a cool little knife, but I need my fingers more so I keep it more as a novelty now. Doc you would probably like it since you like living in the edge! :p

I could go for it, IF:
Change the clip location. Love the wire, but rides to high.
Loose the "hood".
Use VG10 or????
I have a titanium version in ATS 34, very nice, has some heft, sweet.

The Salsa is the only spyderco that i really dont like. The darn thing always pinches me when i open it and it is just too bulky for a "small knife".
But i am sure i would still buy one.

It's just letting you know it's locked open.

Here's my group. Since I hate anything spicy (peppers, onions, salsa or anything that irritates) I prefer my no salsa Salsas in cranberry, blue, black and titanium.

And the elusive cranberry:
