Depending on the lighting, is this the elusive "cranberry" Lum Chinese Folder?

Don't think I've ever seen one before, looks legit to me. Also it seems very unlikely for someone to mod one. And I thought the blue one was rare.
I have a feeling some people are going to be fighting over this "grail knife". ;)

Interesting. His description says "blade made of ZDP-189 stainless steel", but you can clearly see that it is VG-10 in the photo.

Well it wouldn't be the first eBay sale with a mistake ridden description. :p

Whatever comes from this seller is legit. The person has access to prototypes and in the past sold some unique :spyder:

If that is legit, that thing is going to be one pricey spydie!

:spyder: I'm glad as a user-collector my personal tastes are what matter to me and not availablity/scarcity. after trying to buy a lum chinese for years without I'm perfectly happy to have a nishijin chinese. (it's just so cool to me!) It's replaced my bg-42 millie and cf harpy as my bar-b-cue knife! :spyder:

Some how I don't think there's anything to worry about. If you win the auction you'll be happy once you realize who the seller actually is. ;)

cranberry lum is the legend. I heard about two of them. I remember few years ago somebody mentioned that he made an offer $1000 to one of the owners, but offer was declined. If this is different, can be more rare even than cranberry. I am really wondering for how much this will go. Certainly will be too rich for my blood. Also i am not crazy about Lum Chinese anymore, still love my green.

+1
If buyer will have a proof of previous ownership, this certainly will increase the value of this particular piece.

One would think he could include the box

And cutting and pasting the description from the latest ZDP model doesn't make any sense at all.
