Since the blade is the same, you must be referring to the weight, fit and finish. Otherwise, in what way does the G10 version "blow away" the FRN? Thanks.

Everyones taste is different but here we go.
Well it is heavier and wider then the FRN which makes for a more positive grip and fell in my hand. I think the stainless steel back spacer and hardware with the color of the g10 just goes together perfect. I like that the G10 looks gray to me, (but i have a hard time telling certain sades of color).
I really like the FRN versions as well and will be getting the ZDP frn to add to the line-up, but i just like the G10 better. :D

Just got mine from Cutlery Shoppe a few days ago. I love it. The weight is perfect, super sharp, the perfect small EDC knife. Just cut myself tonight opening and closing it. Spyderco foliage is great. I have the Manix 2 sprint in the foliage also.

I agree, it's nicely made, pretty and a quality user... more Spyderco perfection. :D

When I first heard of the G10 dragonfly, I thought there was no way I was going to pay that price for such a small blade. But after handling some of Spyderco's other G10 knives and deciding I really like the way if felt, I wound up ordering one, and I am really glad I did.
Maybe it's just the extra weight that gives me that impression, but it really just feels like a quality knife. I like to hold it and fondle it while I drive to work, open/close it and just spin it around with my thumb/finger gripping the spydie-hole :) .
The blade may be on the small side, but it cuts really well, and the handle is really comfortable even in my largish hands.

Carried my G10 D'fly at work the entire week. It's a great, solid little knife that eeks of quality. The G10 gives it that "I'm bigger and better than my size dictates" feel.
