Dropped my Gayle Bradley...Ouch...

I dropped my GB at work the other day from chest high. It hit the concrete floor on the blades edge and has about 1/2" of small chips going on along the edge. What should I do? I'm so sad this is truely one of my favorite knives.

If you have good stones you can fix that pretty easy or send it to Spyderco and they can fix it.

It may depend to some degree on the size of the chips. If the knife looks like it has a Spyder edge they may charge you $20. Otherwise they'll probably just consider it a complimentary sharpening and ask for $5 for return postage. Only way to be sure is to contact them.

A decent pic would help. It would depend a lot on your being comfortable with sharpening. Sharpening has been one of the steepest curves I've climbed since I started buying and using these knives. I believe CPM M4 is not too difficult. It is a tool steel.

Sending to :spyder: is a good option as well. Would like to see a pic though. I've had hurt knives myself :)
