PE Cricket should I get one?

I have been a fan of the Cricket for a long time. It is one of the best Spyderco knives. I own 2 both SE one SS and one FRN. Recently I have been thinking about getting a PE version of this knife. My only real question is how well does the PE perform compared to the SE? It will be used for mostly the same tasks. Opening packages, tearing down boxes, cutting corrugated plastic sheets, and anything else that dares challenge me. I don't want to buy this knife if it doesn't perform as well as the SE version since there are a lot of knives on my wish list. I understand I will have to sharpen it more often, but I am referring to actual cutting performance. I haven't come across a task that the cricket couldn't do.(some where it wasn't the best choice but it still got the job done) So I would like to hear your experiences.
Thanks

I have a PE Cricket and it can do many/most jobs that I need to do. My wife even commented how well it worked (this is from a non-knife person). With the Sharpmaker I can keep the VG10 blade super sharp in just minutes a day. I don't know if it is better than the serrated edge, but I know it works very well on the tasks you have mentioned because it is so easy to keep very sharp.

I don't have a SE Cricket but I have two PE ones (SS and FRN). They'll definitely do all the things you listed very well. I never considered this until I read your post, but I'll bet carrying a PE and SE Cricket would make a pretty cool EDC combo.

Thats my thinking Jab. I haven't cut many clothing type materials with my Cricket since I figured it would snag. Having this knife in each edge type would be a power house of cutting in very small easy to hide package.
While on topic how awesome would it be for a PE ZDP Cricket with a G10 slab on the nonlocking side. Just a cold medicine induced thought.

A PE cricket is an awesome knife. The one that introduced me to Spyderco. Although I like the rendering of the G-10 version, and I'm a fan of deep-carry wired clips, IMO the clip on the cricket is only a money clip and pretty much any version will do equally well. The knife fits easily in a coin pocket or in the bottom a any pocket without a clip.

Although I'm sure that the PE Cricket slices with the best of 'em, I prefer the SE Cricket and usually EDC it around the house.....luv that little bug.
I'd say yes to adding a PE Cricket to add to your collection....Spyders are better in pairs. :D

The SS cricket makes a fantastic money clip as well, been carrying one for years.
