Worker Sprint

Spyderco puts out a ton of sprint runs of cool new knives as well updates of classics. Why have they never (in my limited knowledge) put out a sprint run of the Worker. I'm thinking of one with Ti scales instead of Stainless (or stainless, as long as it isn't FRN, CF or G-10.) How cool would that be? I would change it so it could be tip up or down carry as well, but otherwise leave it like the original, I'd buy one, they had such a crazy cool blade shape with the swedge and needle point.

I'd certainly buy a worker in any handle material--if just for the piece of Spyderco history, but also I'd love to try it out and carry it!
PS-I think CF or G-10 would be cool

Haven't they re-made the Worker on a limited run lately? I thought/think they have. No?

Were the original...I guess only time they produced the worker, were they numbered? Somewhere around 1,000-1,500 made? Correct?

Wasn't there a "commemorative box" run of the worker?

They produced more than one Worker. There was a stainless Worker, an Almite Worker, Evolution set Worker, two-screw Worker, Damascus Worker (that may have been in the Evolution set), a Worker that came in a felt box, and maybe more, I don't know

The Worker is such an interesting knife. I am glad that I was able to acquire one for my collection...wouldn't mind adding a sprint version to the Spyderpaks.

Yes, made in 2001 to mark the twenty year anniversary of the model.

Technically, there've already been two Sprint Runs of the Worker, even though they were not called that. One was the already mentioned 20th Anniversary Worker, the other was the Evolution Set. That said, there would definitely be something symbolic about a 30th Anniversary Worker Sprint this year.

The Worker was my first Spydie many years ago. Definitely a classic. I would love a sprint, but not in G-10 please!!! Titanium would be nice.

Commemorative worker still can be found on secondary market at fairly affordable price, most likely less expensive than possible future sprint run, made with the same materials.

Really?I've been tracking them for years, though I don't know what you consider affordable.
I'd be all for a 30th anniversary model.

Huh I didn't realize they started making them in 1981, that also happens to be the year I was born. I wonder if they aren't planning something for the 30th Anniversary? It would be super cool and I would have to grab one for a 30th birthday present to myself. :)

Oh, sweet. :) I was thinking of proposing the forum model be a classic model.
