Hello all....

Post by OldHoosier62 »

Been here a few time to answer questions in the past but I am now medically retired so I thought I'd join in the fun. :)

I own quite a few knives, probably 60% Spyderco with a few Kershaw,Lone Wolf,Shun,Victorinox,Opinel,Blackjack and others thrown in for balance. Not a "pretty" knife guy-more a working knife type. ;)

Not really a steel snob but I like tough blades...440V,S30V,D2,CPM-3V but AUS-8,440C,VG-10 still hold a place in my line-up. :D

I sharpen with an Edge Pro and freehand (though I am looking hard at the new Wicked Edge) and keep a 1x30 grinder for the big stuff, ie..axes,machetes.

My EDC line-up is an S30V Military,S30V Lone Wolf T2,Kershaw MUDD are my main blades and I carry a Vic of some sort to keep the hoplophobes at bay.   :D

I think that should cover most of the basic questions asked here,on with the fun and games.

Oh....And I prefer tip-up and have all of mine set-up or converted to that preference.

Thanks for reading

as a fellow 'newbie' who has been around a while, but new to this board... I say welcome!

I carry a Millie... have since 1996... I too like my ZT MUDD, and my Strider SMF... but I just keep picking up the Millie!

That opening 'snap-click' is the best sound around!

Alot of good info and great people on this forum. I've learned more about knives in the last couple months than I ever knew.
Focus is just distraction from distraction, so I take my moderation in moderation.
