I need to set aside money for knives, but I don't. I wait till it's something I really want, then sell knives to buy knives. It is a tough cycle.

Samo,

I don't know which he likes better, SCUBA or Sky diving. Any vacations usually revolve around one or the other, or both if he can swing it! He won't be doing either for quite a while now though.

Java, have you ever been to San Carlos in Sonora?

I'm about one step shy of destroying my credit rating.

My wife threatened that if I buy one more , she will leave me.

I'm sure going to miss her!!!!!!

Big Target:
Dude, it's even worse when your wife is a nut! To make matters worse, she encourages me to go take a scuba trip or golf vacation somewhere. Can you say, "Hello Chapter 13. Sure. I knew you could."

Linda:
Never been. I've been to Punta Banda and wanted to hit Bahia de Concepcion on the Baja but no luck yet. Looked good from the web pix! Tell me more!!

Java,

I've been to Cabo San Lucas on the Baja and the diving was great. San Carlos is about a 10 hour drive from here. Club Med Sonora Bay is there. It's not the caliber of Truk Lagoon, but it's not bad either and a lot better than Balmorea.

Linda,

And here I had my heart set on Balmorea Springs! I'm crushed. Maybe I can catch a good day at the Flower Gardens. Hey! To make sure this stays somewhat ly, have you ever had a chance to use the Probe or Mini Probe??? Heard it was a well designed tool for abalone. Saw one on e-bay last month and missed my chance there. (Exceeded my monthly allowance.) How's that for a less than smooth segue back to the topic at hand? Thanks mucho for your super work on the Engraved Endelicas!

Thanks to University book prices, I rarely have enough $$$ to buy any new s. I am thus reduced to sharpening inferior knives, just to keep up proficiency.

Anybody else ever try to shave with a credit card?

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

I try not to think about it, the answer might frighten me

A couple months at a time nothing, other times quite a bit. Unfortunately I've taken to fancying the discontinued and special Spydies. I'd say on average $100 / $150.

Java,

I saw the probes (both sizes) on ebay, I was tempted, but with the pay cut from Shawn's being activated, they were both way out of my price range. I was drooling over them though. Thank goodness for those ultra thin keyboard covers. I don't usually dive any near where Abs are though. I've been spoiled, the Flower Gardens are too cold for me.

the last time I bought a ,with cash was thew last time I was in AC(Atlantic City). I won $200.00 and went to a knife store that sold S(FYI, he's now discontinuing selling them!! ). After buying them I went snuck back to Ceasars. My wife ask me if I won any money. And I answered ,honestly, that i won $200.00 and just lost it all!!!

I was honest. Wasn't I?????

Thanks Samo,

You had to start this!!?? I honestly didn't know so in the process of trying to find out, I've gone broke "saving" so much money! So far the tally for May is:
3 Jester Set (SN 013)
1 Micarta Jester
2 Laguioles (SE and PE)
4 CoPilots
1 Rescue Abalone Necklace Knife
1 Jess Horn Jigged Bone (SN 365)
1 SE Shabaria
1 Dyad
3 Glasshart Endelica Specials

Not to mention a Delta Z 360 Pivot Knife and pending Gunting drone & live versions later this month.

Everything is right around $1K but the month is early and I've still got the Gun and Knife Show here on the 25th and 26th. Curiousity obliterated my budget (what budget)!!!! Now I understand why my wife made the habenero jerked chicken yesyerday. She needed the insurance money to both stop me and pay for my "habit". This is perhaps one of the more virulent strains of emic fever. Is there a vaccine??? Can it be cured??? I need help!!! Stop me before I buy again!

Stay safe! Stay sharp!

I'm on the same boat with jaxon, I'm not disciplined in setting aside a budget When I decide which will be my next Spydie, I just go out and get it!

P.S.-My wife gave up trying to understand my addiction to the Spyder.

Hey Java! The Jess Horn jigged bone is one of the most expensive Spydie ever made!! Most of your knives are definite classics!

Samo, my main man,

I was shocked when I won it on e-bay today. Seller was asking $375 for a Buy-It-Now price and bidding was at $200. Wife agreed we could maybe bid $300 and then make an offer after bidding closed. I put the bid in at the last second and it went for $230. I was in a daze for about 4 hours - total disbelief!
Dude, you should be receiving a package sometime this week. Keep your eyes peeled. Glasshart recommended Sipidan. I'm leaning toward that or anywhere on the Andaman Sea. KL is definitely in the plan as well! If I can get over this terrible emic fever, I can start saving for the journey.
