Actually, IMO, neither. WD40 really isn't a lubricant and the other is a total dirt magnet. Try a silicon based oil or flourinated grease.

Hey delicrazy :

If nothing like "white lightening" or other
lubricants for knives is not at hand, I say
go for the WD-40 ; I used to use it on my
"cricket" with no problem(s)

I've been trying Miltech-1 ever since I got our Vesuvius. It is now my favorite lubricant! RKBA!

I tend to agree on this with jazz.iv'e found several uses for wd-40 but like he pointed out its mostly a cleaner.catfish also bite marshmellows soakin in it..in a nearby lake. it works great for cleaning carbon off of seramics sharpeners. Its a person choice but i use the white lightning or break free clp.. ron

WD-40 soaked marshmallows... I wouldn't want to eat the catfish that finds those tasty... Of course catfish are bottom-feeders, so I don't think they'd pass up anything that had nutritional value.

Try Zoom Lube or Turbo Oil. They're both very light oils designed for motors and other high-speed, high-friction machinery. I've used those in knives for years and have never found anything better.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

I have used 3 in 1 for years on my spydies and it has worked great with no negative side effects, but I have been reconsidering since I started reading this forum and seeing all of the tips on lubricants. White Lightning seems to be popular on this forum. Where can I find some?

There are a lot of good lubs, but I use Remoil mostly because you can get it at any Walmart and its cheap. It works good too
