I wish I could get at least one of the two, but I don't have enough money, ATM. It's about 4th or 5th on my priority list, behind some airsoft (yes, I play airsoft) stuff and a DMT continuous diamond stone.
Man, I really need to get a job!

I'm getting the Carpenter Model. I'm not a huge Carbon Fiber fan, especially when it comes at a premium cost. Even if it were $10 extra I'd probably jump to the Carpenter model. G-10 makes a nice scale that you don't have to worry about.
Now... if they both had the same type of scale and both cost the same, I would probably still get the Carpenter model. I'm excited about seeing new steels. I haven't had the greatest luck with S90V, but I'm going to try to turn that around. I need to reprofile my Mule and see if I can't change my mind.

i haven't used s90v enough to judge it, but i hear it's wonderful. What in particular gave you trouble? I'm just curiousDonut wrote:I'm getting the Carpenter Model. I think it is all my fault, really.
It didn't come very sharp. I tried to use it, slipped and cut my finger pretty bad. About 1/8" into my fingernail bad. So, I figured I needed a lower angled bevel, I tried to reprofile it with a modified aligner system. Bad idea when you mess up the angle and one side is steeper than the other. The bad part is that it is difficult to reprofile, I think I need diamond bench stones to straighten it out.
I will keep at it and get a real opinion eventually!

I was originally on the list for both, cf and cts, but I recently got let go for stupid reasons [wont go into detail TOO much but it had to do with my preceptor, doing things that normally wouldnt be considered fair to anyone, and this caused me my job at a hospital working as an RN, so Im on the hunt again] But If I am able to find a job by then I hope to get the CTS version, as I have not had the luxury of trying carpenter steel, only have been able to sit in my chair and cry that I dont have it myself [jk :p ]. But yea would love to try it, and love g10, but I like CF more, and I don't have a s90v blade yet [I wish I got the s90v millie back in the day when I had I was looking at it X.X, would have made a nice couple]

.... I was down for both, the instant Taz made the original announcement. I've been hanging out for a an S90V Para for ever now. Yet my finances aren't great right now so I had to cancel them (sorry Tom
).
On the up side, at least I have some healthy M4 on it's way in the unlikely event of wanting to trade. My D2 Para's are not ready to give up just yet either.

After selling off my Para 2, I have kinda come to regret it. I really found out how much I like the compression lock.
I think I'm going to pick up the CTS sprint. I'd like to actually carry and use it. The added cost of peel ply carbon fiber just doesn't do it for me. Might as well save a few bucks.
