Damascus luck charm

#1

Post by Phrenik »

Hey guys, I was looking through pictures from the amsterdam meet, and some of the new up and coming knives etc. Since I don't have a persian I took another quick peek at it, and saw in many of the pictures - it featured a Damascus like item with spyderco's logo on it in the shape of the good luck charms put into pouches by Japanese and other similar cultures. I was wondering if this came with the Persian? Can I purchase this item by itself elsewhere? I would REALLY, love to have one; and perhaps it will be a good luck charm, and ill put it in a pouch of mine then.

Or if anyone knows of it being sold by itself, or how to get it, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you all in advance! Hope you have a great day.

I believe that what you're referring to is left over pieces of Damascus from the 25th Anniversary Delica. That particular Damascus was created by the esteemed Ed Schempp specifically for this knife. The chunks were given away to some of the forum members here. This was back in 2003, so they're long gone.

Bummer X.X When I saw it I was awestruck, very beautiful!! Extreme Kudos to ed on making those. And I wish I could get my hands on an anniversary delica, but its like a endangered species, I can't find it anywhere for sale really, and if so it is quite expensive, I would pay the 250 ish price point, but going upwards of 350's is too much for me on such a knife X.X As much as I want it badly lol. Maybe when I make more money, and have less debt, I may be able to purchase it. But oh well.

Thank you greatly for the info, I can at least go about in piece - somewhat, knowing that its near impossible for me to get lol.

Yea I would definitely see if it works as a lucky charm :p and perhaps get a small pouch for it and maybe fashion a clear type, so I can see it =] I just think that thing is really amazing and artistic.
