The Plaza Cutlery Show is a well respected knife show and the show's organizer, Dan, is a standup guy.

For more information you can go here: http://www.plazacutlery.com/PCcustomknifeshowMain.htm

With the likes of Chris Reeve, Ken Onion, Kirby Lambert, Duane Dwyer, Mick Strider, Rick Hinderer and many others all expected to attend, it's safe to say it's worth the admission price and time spent.

I have been.
Its not super large but many top knife makers attend.
With lots of great high end customs. $$$$
Also get there early Sat. I went on the 2nd day and 3/4 of the knifes had been sold.

I spent most of my time there visiting with Greg Lightfoot, Bob Terzuola, & Ernest Emerson.

Very relaxed environment.

I will probably not be going this year. Not really into customs.
Sprints & LE's are enough for me.

Thanks all! Especially for the tip to go first day. I was planning to go Sunday. Interested to check out customs.

I went to the show today and only spent about an hour there. There sone cool knives, but nothing that i really liked. Mainly because there were very few spyderco customs. I did see a really nice Southard mini Daws with blue green micarta. Really nice looking. And one of the smoothest pivots Ive ever felt. I passed since there is another Southard that I like better. Plus it was 450. I did get to see Chris Reeve and finally handle a Sebenza. Solid. Nice, but not for the price - for me. If I had unlimited funds, I would get one just to have one. Last comment. I carried my PPT today and if it was at anyones table, it would have been impressive. It looks and feels just like a custom. Kudos to Spyderco for a great semi-custom design!!

I am looking foward to when they come down to Hawaii next March, it was originally supposed to have happened in 2009 but they postponed due to how the economy was going. I am on a different Island but I am definetly going to try to get over to check this out. They got a few local knife makers confirmed. I am hoping to see them get confirmation on John Young, Ernie Emerson and some of the other names they got listed.
