Who would want a Endura or Delica in Stainless with a spider and web engraved on the handle and blade? Sound off the more that will buy one the cheaper they'll be.

I would definitely buy an engraved Endura/Delica, in fact they should offer this service from the shop, say they could give you a list of options that you could have like a bug and web pattern or just your own choice of inscription. That would be fab!

Would these be in VG-10? If so, count me in for one, or maybe even both.

Sounds good to me.

Adding custom features to a knife that sets it apart from its regular production counterparts would appear to be a worthwhile investment.

The "shell" inlaid handle on the Vesuvius was a neat touch, but I think "limited run" tooled engravings and special material scales (ala Santa Fe Stoneworks) would really stir up some interest. As long as they were quality features, truly limited production, and didn't appear to be production line "cookie cutter" customizations, I would jump at the opportunity to purchase!

IIRC SFO already offers custom laser etching done by MrV here on the forum. Somebody here bought a stainless Rookie (I think) from Spyderholic which had been embellished with the and web (don't quote me on the details ).

clay,
You are right. They have to set up to do one of these and it ain't cheap. If we can get a number of people that want one, maybe we will get a cheaper deal since the setup cost will be split between all people.

Glasshart,
What do you think is this enough people?

I would like a pic of this. If it looks as good as I envision, then I'll no doubt get one eventually.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.
