I remember then saying it was a preprototype or still in the works. Most the others were far closer to actual production models.

In time :) .

Like Blerv said, it's just in the prototype stage. But thanks for your interest and support. :D

That is a wonderful design, my friend. Assuming it sees production I will certainly have one.

So will I, my friend, so will I... Image At least one for each of my boys (it was supposed to be aimed merely towards young persons, you know - but I'm not that old either...) ;)
Thanks much for your support. :D

Thank you my friend. But Spyderco deserves the laurels better. Mr. Sal & Co. are the ones that constantly keep spoiling us with all that fine stuff... :D

In particular the weight and lengths (handle, blade, OAL). I hope it is lighter than 4 oz, but I'm not sure with that wide blade.

Huh. It looks kind of big for a young person, unless I'm mistaken about its size.

Dialex:

No offense, but I didn't really care for your first design. I'm fascinated by this design, though. I think it may well be my new outdoors folder!

Alex,
Thank you for your designs. I like quite a few of them. It is too bad that we do not see them with :spyder :o n the blade :) . May be one day :)
I like Adventura a lot as is, but I would be much better in G10 or micarta.
Regarding Junior, it is certainly on my wish list.

Super design! I love it. But never buy junior size. I would like to see it with a blade 4"-4"1/2 length. It could be the great outdoor (kitchen) folding knife. To produce it as a junior will be a huge marketing mistake (a kitchen knife with 3" blade :) ).

Extremely interesting design. I will be on the lookout for this. Your talent is evident and very intriguing Dialex :D

:spyder: Never ceases to amaze me on the sheer variety of different styles they try and create.

The wide blade full flat grind handle shape and complock really get me on this one. I guess the whole design gets me. Can't wait to get one of these

A challenging knife to engineer. The Concept model that we made was a hand made piece. Production is a bit more complicated.

We're expecting a proto on this model very soon. Once the proto is nailed down, it's usually another 4-6 months before we can ship product.

Alex did a beautiful jonb on the design. Much thought and refinement that is not easily apparent. Good job Alex! Now we have to do a good job with production of the piece.
