Guess you never went to summer camp either. :D If you have some time to kill, take a look at this thread. Plenty of knowledge to be had there.

I uses tooling leather from Tandy Leather Company.
Cuts lace out of it.

Thanks, Vassili.

If you have a USN account, check out the beads and lanyards made by fuzzyedge.

I just won this one in a giveaway!

Nope lol. My summer camp was growing up on a farm...i had all the wilderness exposure a kid could possibly ask for, minus the lanyard braiding badge :D

Well i've already made two, and my mother and brother came over and promptly stole them so now i need to make more. I'm just using good boot strings since i couldn't find paracord at the local sporting goods store. I'm gonna get some black and tan military boot strings and make one out of those...i kind of like the smaller diameter cord.

Stormdrane is the most advanced knothead I know of, he has a lot of interesting stuff he has made for inspiration and tutorials as well:

Well here's the final result until i find some different cord to work with. The skull is something i had laying around, i believe it was from a cheap Halloween key chain. It's rubber and works awesome...it goes on tight and stays in place. I think you can find them at those Halloween Express stores that pop up through the holidays.

Check out TIAT on Youtube, he has a huge amount of quality tutorials.

Also for paracord, you pretty much have to go online, personally I've dealt with Lighthound and Tom at SOSAK Online, Rotokid's shop
There are plenty of retailers to choose from though, but the 2 have a huge selection of different color cord and beads.

The irony of this is that now i don't have the D4 anymore, and my new Caly 3 doesn't have a lanyard hole...lol. I guess now i have a really cool keychain. Actually i wanna learn to make a survival bracelet too.
