Well forumites, I own only one sharpener and
the Tri Seps ( ceramic ) is it. I find it
puzzling how larger sharpeners appleal with
most "knife nuts" as opposed to the "field
handy" "dog bone". This baby will fit on a
keyring and does an excellent job on just
about every EDC made ; it even has a groove
for fish hooks ( and icepicks <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>). It's also
availible in diamond at M.S.R.P. $19.99. I
got my Tri Seps from Cheaper than dirt for
$7.99. Maybe it's just that Army mindset of
"travel light, strike hard" or the love of simpler things. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Switchblades OLD, <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s NEW !

I also love this sharpener..its like 9.95 here so i bought 3 at once..1 in my day pack, 1 for around the house, 1 for the key chain. im sure the 204 is a better sharpener over all but ive always kinda been able to fee hand a edge..its 800 grit so at 1st i worried how this would leave a finish edge..i find it to put a microscopic saw tooth edge that is just perfect for field use. i hunt or fish probably 150 days out of a yr, since a carear ending back problem..i was a long haul trucker b4 1 decided to crush me..... ok off subject sorry :-( You will find its easier to clean the carbon off with a rag soaked in wd-40. I carry both a DoubleStuff and a chunk of Fine Spydie triange stone.
Cutting Edge cuts them down and sells small chunks for pocket touchups. 2.5-3" of Fine is $3 when I got it.
Sharpen Xactos and everything else. Any large jobs wait till I get home(or find a quiet spot to sharpen).
<img src=http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb ... 8A88UxWudf> We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare... <img src=http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb ... 8A88UxWudf>
