Help choosing a pic..

#1

Post by redyps04 »

Well, dozens of photos later and I've finally narrowed it down to 5. Now I just need a little help picking the final one for the photo contest. Thanks in advance.

I like the third picture the best, and my second choice would be the first picture.

#4. They're all nice, but I think #4 has the best lighting and medal placement. I like how the medal and blade are lit up in that one. The way the center is bright and the edges are dark makes it seem like the knife or perhaps the words are keeping out, keeping at bay, a metaphorical darkness by marginalizing the literal one.

I agree with most of the posts so far, with #1 and #4 being the best. The only things that bugs me about #1 (if I'm gonna be picky), the sand that's on the medallion and the green reflection on the swedge. Only thing I don't like about #4 is, once again, green coloration on the blade, but it is much less noticeable.

All great picture nonetheless, so good luck to you!

Exactly my thoughts. Right down to the sand on the medallion! :D

The fourth one IS the best!

After making the sizes a bit smaller so I could get a better overall impression, I agree that 4 is the best. The thing that I didn't like about 4 originally is that it seemed like the medallion was featured more prominently than the knife, but the knife itself looks the best and the overall image is very nice.

4 and 1, in that order. They're all nice - good luck. :)
