Which Golden models for 2010 forum knife poll?

55 people out of the 88 who participated in the poll prefer a forum knife that is made in Golden. This is a less strong preference than I would have guessed, particularly since only 88 participated, as compared to the 149 responses to the first knife selection poll and the 230 responses to the first color poll. So, while preference for a Golden made knife seems tepid, the poll is done and we are moving forward.
I probably should begin each thread with some caveats:
We have no way of knowing when another forum knife might be offered; what and when is completely up to Sal, Kristi, et al.
A significant portion of the forum's time is devoted to wishing for one thing or another from Spyderco. Sal encourages this because he values information about customer desires.
The discussion and polling process for the hypothetical 2010 forum knife is an attempt to have some fun and assemble customer(forum) preferences in a format which makes the data easier to access and quantify.
The question before us now is which Golden models should be in the poll? The following seem to be obvious and appeared in the first poll:
Model #......Description.....................MSRP.......Forum $
C94PGY......UK Penknife GIN1 FRN.......59.95..........43.97
C41PBK.......Native S30V FRN.............99.99..........67.97
C101GP2.....Manix2 154CM G10.........129.95..........85.97
C94GPFG.....UK Penknife S30V G10.....149.95.........94.97
Am I missing any Golden made knives with MSRP's of under $150?
How about a forum Swick or Mule?

The FRN UKPK is so heavily discussed here, I think it's the best choice.
Also, I find slipjoints to be the most "gifty" of knives, there's something about the simplicity.
That said, a forum Mule would be amazing!
Either way, I've had such a great time here, I'm in for any knife!

Wild card would be the FRN Native IV if it's due to reach production in time to be considered. Granted, that's a big if given that it's not in either the regular 2010 catalog or the 2010 supplement.

+ for the UKPK ... I know I am biased, living in UK, but I think an FRN UKPK CTS-BD1 in a nice Forum colour would have the widest possible appeal/demand around the world. It would also have pretty low production costs, meaning more could be manufactured and more sold (why not allow people to buy 2 or more each) ... and they would be real users, not drawer queens :)

UKPK FRN.
This would be the excuse I need to try this knife. I have been wanting to try it. Perhaps we could get it in a unique blade shape? Hawk bill perhaps? That would truly be special!

My first choice will be Native4, if it is not available that UKPK, please make it leaf shape FFG.

UKPK in S30V would be my first choice. :) :spyder:
I just love it, I own one already that I don't carry because if I only own one of a particular Spidie I keep in perfect unused condition in my collection.
If Sal and company make this the UKPK the forum knife then that becomes my collector knife and the one I presently don't use will become my EDC knife.
I want to carry this baby, and I fear the knife carry laws are going to change in many States, thus making the UKPK the perfect knife.

They did a Native for 2009, why do it again? Yeah it wasn't a "Native 4" but it was pretty close with that kickass FFG and the rest of the knife doesn't feel out of date. I have one and I love it.
Either UKPK would be cool with me.

Much more solidarity with the UKPK than I expected with the Manix on the radar.
Also, something to add, we're not getting it in G2 anymore, it's a Carpenter steel!
I have an idea, the FRN UKPK in Wharnie or PE Rescue blade! :D

I honestly think a UKPK would be the best option.

I really don't agree with the Golden, CO limitation, but since we did a Native last year, I'd vote for:
C101GP2.....Manix2 154CM G10.........129.95..........85.97

Would dig a ukpk in Wharnie configuration, otherwise, I'd probably think Manix2 and then Native - if it were the Native 4 I'd definitely be interested in one.
Really like the idea of forum Swick or Mule blades - keep those ideas coming, guys!

FRN UKPK (FFG please, wharnie would be sweet) or FRN Manix if it is ready.

Yes I revise my vote... UKPK on a Wharnie (still S30V)

The steel is just copied from the catalog. I shouldn't even have listed it because the type of steel would be a variable, something that could really distinguish the forum knife. The type of blade is another variable.
