Ok so I'm thinking of getting the spec bump http://www.kershaw-knives.net/Kershaw-K ... KS1596.htm Any user input on the knife would be greatly appreciated, likes, dislikes, etc. And what do you think about the stud lock?

Good quality and very comfortable. Not the best edc blade design. The overall shape and feel is very similar to the Spyker (Spyderco/Kershaw collab.). The lock is ok. It's a cool knife to have in a collection because of the lock. I haven't carried mine so I can't say hoe it hold up in everyday use.

Sent you a pm also.

I had one. I liked it but I wasn't a huge fan of the lock.

I'm gona have to go against what most folks would say. I have a Spec Bump that is kind of unique. As far as I know there were only 4 made like it. They were early out and I have to thank Thomas for that.

I think it kicks butt and the lock is strong and easy to get used to. Mine is CPM-S30V but with the handles that were on the 154CM models.

The knife has zero issues and has about the best fit and finish I've encountered on just about ANY knife. The Spec Bump is one knife I really love from Kershaw!

Get one!

Ya thats why asked, they still have the 100bucks rule on the world wide shipping though ,might be intrested in getting it from one of our forumites if I can dig up some more info on the lock. Some videos that I watched point out that there might be some wear issues after use and the lock might start to fail after a while, thats why I hesitate in getting it.

because of this thread i actually carried the spec bump today (instead of the Gayle Bradley that has been seeing increased pocket time lately).

this blade does function well as an EDC = my opinion. the ergos are great and i do love how Kershaw/ZT texture the G10 on some of their knives. i am also a big fan of the dreaded recurve. i really dig the stud lock.

i still don't like the pocket clip and i think it's odd that the knife is completely symmetrical/ambidextrous except for the clip (R/H tip down only).

Well the tip down clip won't be an issue I get a long with any knife after some practice. And thanks for your observations. :)

Wow, thanks :) The bump looks fairly good in size compared with those ones, the handle size seems just write.
