Kinda like a Catcherman

A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.

At least they tell you it's a copy.

Yeah I just saw that. Reported it as a counterfeit.

Hard to tell from the pic but it looks legit.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

Thought so too at first, but there does not seem to be any Spyderco "Catcherman :spyder: ClipIt" logo on the handle.

Good eye!I was too fixed on the blade markings.Anyone else think this one is a bit more odd just because it's a catcherman?

Most definitely. To the point where I'm seriously wondering if:

a) Spyderco sold the tooling for the Catcherman to someone.
or
b) Whoever made the Catcherman for Spyderco is making these and selling them out the back door.
or
c) There were legitimate specimens of the Catcherman produced with no logo.
or
d) The seller has a warped sense of humor and doctored the photo of a real Catcherman. (it's eBay, where the bizarre is normal)

Of course it also could turn out to be half the size. :D

If you check the sellers other auctions, you will see he has a boatload of knock off type knives listed. Like I originally posted, as least it is freely admitted that the knife is not a spyderco. Still does not make it right.
